Model of 1844 Field Howitzer

Signal cannon only, not intended to fire any projectiles, black powder only.

Barrel is pictured on an oak sea carriage with oak wheels and steel axle, Sold Separately.

Steel barrel with blued finish.

Barrel lathe turned and bored, trunnions set in milled pockets in barrel and J.B. Welded in place.

This cannon tube weights 21 pounds and is about 18" long. Ring base 2.95" bore 1" with a 1" powder chamber.
